About

History:

Steeped in tradition, Salt Lake Judo Hawaii was founded in 2022 by the Salt Lake Judo Club students. Salt Lake Judo Club was established in 1985 by head sensei Dan Fujikawa. After 37 years at the helm of Salt Lake Judo Club, Fujikawa sensei's students now have the privilege of carrying Salt Lake Judo Club's teaching and culture.

In May 2022, the dojo reopened under its new name Salt Lake Judo Hawaii, by Sensei Sheldon Konno, Sensei Enoch Lum, Sensei Delfin Rufo, and Sensei Brandon Maki - all students of Fujikawa sensei.

The instructors devote their time and energy solely as volunteers to create a fun, cultural environment to learn the art of judo.
